The department covers a broad spectrum of imaging modalities, including radiographs, CT scans, MR scans, ultrasound scans, fluoroscopic procedures, and interventional procedures. Responsibilities

 

  • Provide comprehensive diagnostic radiology services, including a full range of imaging modalities such as radiographs, CT scans, MR scans, ultrasound, and interventional procedures.
  • Collaborate with clinicians across various specialties to support accurate diagnosis and guide treatment decisions.
  • Participate in diagnostic imaging-guided procedures and offer expertise in complex cases.
  • Contribute to ongoing clinical research projects aimed at advancing radiological practices and technology.
  • Mentor and educate medical residents and junior radiologists, contributing to the development of future diagnostic radiologists through the NHG residency program.
  • Uphold the highest standards of practice in diagnostic radiology, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.

 

Requirements

 

  • A recognized medical degree that is registrable with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC).
  • Postgraduate qualifications such as FRCR, FRANZCR, FRCPC, or board certification in Diagnostic Radiology (or equivalent) that are acceptable for accreditation as a Specialist Radiologist with the Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB).
  • Extensive experience in diagnostic radiology, with proficiency in a broad range of imaging modalities and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with healthcare professionals across different specialties.
  • Passion for teaching and mentoring, with a commitment to educating the next generation of diagnostic radiologists.
  • Eligibility for registration as a Specialist Radiologist with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC).
