Responsibilities
The selected candidate will provide expert psychological care to patients with various psychological conditions across both women and children. The key responsibilities include:
Range of Services:
- Managing psychiatric disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period, including perinatal anxiety disorder, perinatal depression, and postnatal depression.
- Addressing mother-infant bonding disorders, psychiatric disorders related to infertility, pregnancy loss, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder.
- Treating depression during the menopause transition.
- Providing care for mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorders, as well as anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and psychosomatic disorders in children.
- Managing stress-related adjustment disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and Tourette’s syndrome.
Requirements
- Recognized M.B.B.S. or equivalent basic medical degree.
- Relevant post-graduate qualifications recognized by the Singapore Medical Council.
- Completion of specialist training in psychological medicine or a related field.
- Accredited as a specialist in psychological medicine or the appropriate specialty.
- Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP)
