Responsibilities

The Consultant in the Department of Reproductive Medicine will be responsible for overseeing and providing comprehensive care in fertility treatments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnose and treat infertility and reproductive disorders in both male and female patients.
  • Provide medical and surgical fertility treatments, including ovulation induction, IUI, and IVF.
  • Manage conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, recurrent pregnancy loss, and hormonal imbalances.
  • Perform minimally invasive procedures like hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and embryo transfers.
  • Collaborate with embryologists, endocrinologists, and obstetricians for patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and medical students.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on advancements in reproductive medicine.
  • Ensure compliance with MOH regulations and ethical standards in fertility treatments.

Requirements

  • M.B.B.S. or equivalent basic medical degree.
  • Relevant post-graduate qualifications recognized by the Singapore Medical Council.
  • Completion of specialist training in reproductive medicine or related fields.
  • Accredited as a specialist in reproductive medicine.
