Position: Senior Nursing Manager (MOT/Private Hospital/East & Central)

Setting: Private Acute 

Location: Multiple Locations (Singapore)

Working Hours: 5-day work week with morning and afternoon rotational shifts. Must be willing to take on on-call duties as needed.

Job Brief: 

The Nurse Manager provides leadership, management, and direction to ensure high-quality standards, staff development, and efficient resource management within the unit. They are accountable for the overall standard of patient care, aligning nurse competencies with patient needs, ensuring staff occupational health and safety, and overseeing clinical risk management. As the key representative of the organization, the Nurse Manager interacts with doctors, patients, their families, and other stakeholders, ensuring a positive and professional experience for all involved.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with the clinical team to set unit goals and objectives.
  • Manage the induction process, assess competencies, address staff learning needs, and plan for career development.
  • Assess the quality and effectiveness of nursing care and make adjustments to improve service delivery.
  • Review occurrence reports and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee budget and expenditure to ensure cost-effective use of consumables.
  • Organize schedules to maintain an appropriate skill mix in line with patient acuity and census.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Post Basic qualifications in Perioperative or Perianaesthesia Nursing preferred.
  • Must be a Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role and department.
